Continuing Education Credits

NBCC CE Recognition for LPCs, LMFTs, and Social Workers (as of October 2025)

Elijah Institute is an NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7719. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Elijah Institute is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Individual State NBCC CE Recognition for LPCs, LMFTs, and Social Workers

NBCC approval applies to continuing education for Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFTs), and, in many cases, Social Workers.

·States that explicitly accept NBCC CE:

Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming.

·States that allow self-submission of NBCC CE:

Alaska, Illinois, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island.

States that do NOT explicitly accept NBCC CE (verify directly):

New Jersey, New York, and any others not listed above.

Important Notes

• State requirements vary. Some boards require pre-approval, limit hours from NBCC providers, or specify formats (e.g., live vs. self-paced).

• Responsibility to verify. Because state requirements can change, please confirm acceptance directly with your licensing board before submitting CE hours.

• Disclaimer. Elijah Institute makes every effort to provide accurate information but cannot guarantee acceptance of NBCC CE credits by all state licensing boards.

• Future accreditation such as NASW and ASWB approvals are under review, and we will notify participants when they become available.

Certificates of Completion

Each Elijah Institute course includes a certificate of completion that clearly identifies the course title, number of continuing education hours, and the Elijah Institute’s NBCC-approved provider status (ACEP No. 7719) and certification details. This certificate serves as documentation that the course meets NBCC continuing education standards and may be submitted to your state licensing board for credit consideration. If you would like additional documentation verifying our NBCC provider credentials, please let us know.
